Centre committed to double farmers income by 2022: MoS finance The government has taken concrete steps as per the recommendations of the Swaminathan committee reports, he said at a function organised by a bank here in Uttar Pradesh. SIS close to acquiring a majority stake in NCR security provider for Rs 300 crore New Delhi based security services provider, Security and Intelligence Services (SIS), is close to acquiring a majority stake in another security management company for anywhere around Rs 300 crore, two people with direct knowledge of the matter said. This would be the first acquisition for BSE listed SIS, that has created a war chest of around Rs 1,000 crore for acquisitions in the sector for next few years.âThe deal is as good as done,â a banker close to the development told ET. âSIS would have a controlling stake in the company that currently has a revenue of around Rs 400 crore,â he said. The NCR based security and facility management company, that SIS is looking to acquire, hires around 15,000 people. ET could not independently verify the name of the company SIS is acquiring. SIS did not respond to ETâs query.âThe negotiations were on for about six months now and the sellers were concerned about the price and their position in the company after the deal. These issues have now been ironed out,â said another person close to the development.SIS had raised around Rs 1,000 crore through, pre-IPO, IPO placement and funding from an Australian bank for non-organic growth through mergers and acquisitions in 2017. The acquisitions are aimed at establishing the company's leadership credentials in the security management space.Even before it got listed on the capital market, SIS has been on an acquisition spree. In 2016, SIS acquired a majority stake in Dusters Total Solutions, a Bengaluru-based facility management services provider, for around Rs 175 crore.Dusters Total had put the company on the block in September 2015 and was seeking a valuation of Rs 300-350 crore. The sale gave an exit option to TVS Shriram Growth, a fund managed by TVS Capital.SIS is one of the biggest security and cash management company with a market capitalisation of Rs 7,937 crore. SIS on Tuesday also reported 84% jump in its net profit in the June quarter. The companyâs profit jumped to Rs 39.5 crore in June quarter this year as against Rs 21.5 crore in the same period last year. The companyâs stock was down by 0.9% or Rs 10.5 to close at Rs 1,084.5. - Gujarat: Leopard attacks motorcycle-borne couple, snatches infant
