"Thyssenkrupp recently won a contract from Doosan Power Systems India (DPSI)....The order is worth a total of around USD 115 million and includes engineering, delivery and installation of two complete coal handling systems, including associated structural and electrical works," the company said in a statement. The plants will be part of the Obra C and Jawaharpur coal-fired power stations in the north, both to be operated by Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd (UPRVUNL) and executed by DPSI, it said. Once operational, they together will produce 2,640 mw of power - enough to supply roughly 16 million homes in India. "We are very proud to put this experience to work with DPSI for the Jawaharpur and Obra C power projects," Malay Das, Managing Director and CEO, thyssenkrupp Industries India said.

HDFC AMC IPO sold like hot cakeThe Rs 2,800-crore initial public offering (IPO) of HDFC Asset Management Company was fully subscribed on the first day of the bidding process on Wednesday. Big Bull raises stake in Karur Vysya BankAce investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala has raised stake in Karur Vysya Bank to 4.22 per cent at the end of June quarter from 3.36 per cent at the end of the March quarter. Sarika Jhunjhnuwala, the promoter group of Shalimar Paints, acquired 2,000 shares via market purchase. Block deal spooks ZeeBharti Infratel ended flat at Rs 286.60 apiece on BSE after 14 lakh shares change hands in a block. Zee Entertainment ended over half a per cent lower at Rs 520.35 apiece on BSE after 1.25 crore shares (1.3 per cent equity) were traded in a block deal.
